Mushroom Networks Adds VoIP Armor to Reseller Program

Mushroom Networks, a provider of bandwidth management and load balancing service, recently announced that it has added VoIP Armor software to its Gold Value Added Resellers program. For the more than 500 global resellers in that program, they will now have access to the VoIP Armor product for sale alongside the rest of the Mushroom portfolio.

This development effectively places the entire line of Mushroom products in its reseller program. It also allows reseller to more confidently address the concerns of enterprises, which may be hesitant to adopt voice-over-IP (VoIP) because of fear that calling quality will suffer. VoIP Armor addresses issues of quality such as call latency and jitter data transmission. Cahit Akin, the CEO of Mushroom, addresses these issues in a statement provided for the recent announcement referenced here:

“Companies want to take advantage of VoIP systems such as IP-PBX, but are wary because they are prone to dropped calls, lower voice quality, or simply too inconsistent to be relied upon as effective audio communication,” Akin said. “By adding VoIP Armor to our VAR program, resellers now have a best-in-class offering that fixes these problems and gives their customers a high-speed and redundant connection that leverages readily available, low-cost broadband.”

The VoIP Armor product addresses the needs of enterprises by creating a tunnel through which voice communications data travels. Inside that tunnel, two or more redundant Internet links keep transmissions reliable and protect them from the affects of other traffic that can eat up a company’s bandwidth. The latest development for this software includes access to voice-over-LTE calling that takes place across mobile networks. This adds yet another level of reliability by giving VoIP Armor access to more than just wired networks such as DSL and fiber.

Resellers in the Gold program will be able to access online demonstrations of VoIP Armor for display to their own customers. Such remote demonstrations can be useful in showing the capability of these data-protection methods and therefore can help resellers secure deal with potential customers. Furthermore, the addition of VoIP Armor to the program should help extend its full portfolio into new markets.
