Aastra, a provider of enterprise communications solutions including business VoIP, has revealed that EarthLink, a provider of IT, network and communications services, has selected several of its 6700i SIP phones for EarthLink’s portfolio that is available to business customers.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity to be included in EarthLink’s Complete Voice product,” said Tim Whittington, executive vice president and general manager, Aastra North America, in a statement. “As innovator in the VoIP industry, we are pleased to see that through its expansive, new offering EarthLink is making IP applications available to all enterprises.”

The open standards-based business VoIP phones offer EarthLink customers great choice and value. “From the entry-level feature-rich 6731i, the powerful and flexible 6757i with an optional cordless handset, the executive color touch-screen 6739i, and an expansion module for increased call control, this portfolio is well positioned to meet the needs of organizations of all sizes,” company officials said.

EarthLink recently launched the Complete Voice hosted service which includes the company’s innovative portfolio of hosted and managed business-class communications solutions such as hosted IP-PBX and business VoIP.

“We added Aastra SIP phones to our solution portfolio because of the company’s reputation for quality, cost-effectiveness and scalability,” said Jim O’Brien, EarthLink executive vice president of Network Services and Customer Operations. “With Aastra, we have a partner that enables us to provide an affordable hosted voice solution for businesses and organizations of any size."

Back in December of last year, EarthLink successfully acquired the IT Solution Center and hosted application business from Synergy Global Solutions, a provider of hosted IT products, services and solutions. The IT Solution Center consists of a help desk, network operations center and remote technical management and supports a wide range of networking and operating system platforms.
