Primus Telecommunications Canada, a provider of business VoIP solutions, has just released an all new Session Initiation Trunking (SIP) service for the small and medium business (SMB) market in Canada.

The new SIP trunking service will be an ideal option for companies that already have an existing PBX system on their premises, but are now looking for a solution that can scale according to their growing needs.

The cloud-based business VoIP phone from Primus, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTGi, is a cost-effective alternative for business customers that want a “flexible, reliable and fully scalable service,” company officials said.

"Too frequently, small and mid-market companies are told by their service provider that they have to fit into the plans designed for much larger companies, leaving them over served and over charged,” said A.J. Byers, executive vice president of business services, in a statement.

“Primus Canada has specialized in services for the small and mid-market since our inception, so we understand that these businesses want services that are not only reliable, but are also flexible and scalable to meet their needs,” Byers added.

The new business VoIP service delivers voice calling services that offer enhanced reliability to ensure that their calls are always answered, as well as a flexible and scalable delivery so they can change their service on the fly to meet their evolving needs, according to Byers.

Primus SIP Trunking provides businesses with a business VoIP system than enables them to operate from it anywhere they want. Users also get great control with this solution, as it allows changes to be made to auto attendants or easily moves capacity from one trunk group to another, in order to quickly adapt to changes in business needs.

The service also delivers built-in disaster recovery and busy overflow to ensure calls are always answered. Advanced auto attendant ensures productivity gains by delivering calls directly to wherever they may need to go.

Now with the Primus business VoIP system, SMBs can grow quickly as it allows them to scale to accommodate their changes. Rather than requiring a company to make choices based on what they may need in five years, the service can be instantly changed to add or remove capacity at any time.

The centralized management capabilities of Primus’ business VoIP allows companies to bring together both large and small locations to ensure they are all equally accessible.

The business VoIP service is available in metered or unmetered options, so it eliminates restrictions from the Primary Rate ISDN (PRI), Basic Rate ISDN (BRI) and Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) services.
