By Jayashree Adkoli, TMCnet Contributor

Nimbuzz, a mobile VoIP operator, reportedly has announced the launch of a new low-cost international calling service, called “NimbuzzOut,” which will be complementing the company’s mobile application – Nimbuzz Mobile – that offers free voice over Internet protocol calls, session initiation protocol calls and social instant messaging aggregation.

Available for purchase at www.nimbuzzout.com, the NimbuzzOut credits adopt a standard pay-as-you-go model and will be sold in bundles of $10, $20 and $40. These pricing will facilitate users to save up to 95 percent on the cost of a traditional international mobile call, say officials with Nimbuzz in a press release.

The NimbuzzOut feature on Nimbuzz Mobile application utilizes users’ phone's Internet connection to make low-cost international calls to other mobiles & landlines, using NimbuzzOut credits. It actually sets up a VoIP connection over 3G or WiFi (News - Alert) network.

Users interested in utilizing the NimbuzzOut service, will have to install Nimbuzz application on their mobile phone, if not installed already. A Nimbuzz account is necessary, which can be used to buy NimbuzzOut credits via the company’s website or within the application itself. Users can check call savings per country via the rate calculator available on the company’s web and wap sites.

In the release, Nimbuzz said that its new NimbuzzOut calling service signifies the company's first revenue-generating feature. It has been launched in direct response to user requests of which 69 percent said that they expect to use mobile VoIP more than ever in the coming twelve months.

Moreover, the Company’s free to download, free to use mobile IM and VoIP application Nimbuzz Mobile, which was launched in May 2008, is already facilitating millions of users across the globe with free calls and instant messaging across both its own network.

Currently, NimbuzzOut will be supporting Symbian (News - Alert), iPhone and iPod Touch handsets, thereby adding great value as well as quality calling from mobiles on 3G network or Wi-Fi to any other mobile or landline worldwide. The company has plans to support more mobile phones as well as PC/Mac in the near future.

Evert-Jaap Lugt, founder & CEO at Nimbuzz, said in the release, "High value, high quality voice calling is positioned at the heart of our value proposition, making NimbuzzOut the most natural commercial extension of our product.  This offers fantastic value to our users, especially those who wish to communicate regularly with friends and family abroad at the lowest possible prices.  This is all part of our strategy to give Nimbuzz users control of their mobile lives and the freedom they want and deserve."

The Nimbuzz Mobile application facilitates users to communicate via free instant messaging between online social networks, such as Skype (News - Alert), Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, Google Talk, AIM, Facebook, MySpace and more. Additionally, it also offers call/group-call, chat, offline messaging, sending photos/music/video, voice messaging and more.
