Fortress Technologies is all set to launch six new products to enable complete on-the-move connectivity. The products will meet the government's demand for man-wearable, vehicle specific and mesh networking capabilities. The company will release details on each new product along with its launch at the LandWarNet conference that is scheduled to take place Aug. 18-20 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
In a release, Janet Kumpu, president of Fortress Technologies, said it is their extensive government work, especially with the Department of Defense (DoD) that led them to recognize the immediate need to enable net-centric wireless communications from any location at any point of time. The mission-critical nature of DoD, homeland security and emergency response organizations requires the ability to exchange information on-the-move. The new products from Fortress provide this capability with integrated end-to-end, government-validated security.
The new products launched by Fortress deliver secure wireless communications for vehicle and dismounted soldier networks, enhance the resiliency and effective range of tactical mesh networks and also meet the need for 4.4 GHz licensed spectrum solutions. Each product will be delivered in small and rugged form factors with industry-leading radio range. In addition, each product ensures high performance networking under highly mobile conditions in a wide range of environments.
The man-wearable tactical mesh point and mesh viewer solution will be released on the first day of the conference on August 18th. The next day will witness vehicle-based mesh point and mobile ad hoc network (MANET) solution being launched. On the final day of the conference, Fortress will release infrastructure mesh point and 4.4 GHz solution. Fortress will update its dedicated LandWarNet website with information as and when products are released.
Fortress Technologies develops secure wireless networking products for government markets. Both military and civilian customers rely on Fortress to securely deliver mission related information that supports critical decision making, situational awareness, and force protection. The products from Fortress also support vital operations such as deployable communications, outdoor network extensions and vehicle based networks. Moreover, Fortress products essentially extend the reach of networks with industry-leading wireless and security technologies to bring applications and information to those who need it, irrespective of the location and time.
