As part of the pact, AT&T (

Alert) and the University will equip more than 160 buildings across the campus, as well as outdoor spaces, with high speed wireless broadband from AT&T Wi-Fi Services.
According to AT&T officials, the move is expected to connect more than 30,000 students, faculty, staff and guests.
The University's Wi-Fi network will carry University Intranet traffic. The deal also includes transport for their broadband network.
Officials said that the campus wide Wi-Fi service will provide hotspot zones and allow Wi-Fi enabled devices to access its network.
"We have a rich history of providing the best educational tools for our students and support for our faculty and staff, so AT&T was a clear choice for us because of their experience and expertise in offering premium Wi-Fi service," said Harris Pastides, USC president, in a statement.

Alert) Markets said that the company is truly excited to offer the USC campus community the opportunity to stay connected to what's important to them, whether it's a late night study session, an online lecture, class registration, or social networking with other students from across the globe.
Williams said that AT&T Wi-Fi provides the broadband coverage and around-the-clock connectivity that college campuses require.

Lackey said that the company is thrilled to have been selected to join the University in this project to open new connections across the campus and beyond.

reported that the Blue City Company 1 and AT&T, have signed a memorandum of understanding to deliver the design for advanced communications services and related infrastructure for the Al Madina A'Zarqa project.
Al Madina A'Zarqa is a major infrastructure project in Oman, a development of a new city of 200,000 people. BCC1 has been created to deliver Phase 1 of the project.
As part of the pact, Blue City Company 1 will work with AT&T to develop telecommunications services that will be rolled out to residential customers and businesses in the development, a 32 square kilometer city being constructed in Al Sawadi, a 60-minute drive from Oman's capital Muscat.
