AirMagnet VoFi Analyzer has received the Product of the Year Award for 2008 from Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC (News - Alert)) INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. AirMagnet has received this award for the second consecutive year.

 

VoWLAN (Voice over Wireless LAN) is a wireless broadband network used for vocal conversation. It works just like VoIP but uses a Wi-Fi network. VoWLAN can be conducted over any Internet accessible device, which includes a laptop, PDA or the new VoWLAN units which look and function like cell phones.

 

TMC found that AirMagnet (News - Alert) is a quality conscious company and caters to the real needs in the marketplace. The company says it looks forward to more innovative solutions from AirMagnet in the future.

 

When customers have queries and issues about VoWLAN deployments, AirMagnet’s VoFi Analyzer offers a new concept for understanding and resolving these issues. AirMagnet states that it can provide a complete picture of enterprise connection with the help of VoFi Analyzer. It also focuses on access point to phone and phone to access points.

In December last year, the company unveiled new features for AirMagnet Survey that enhanced its ability to help customers optimize their voice-over-WLAN (VoWLAN) deployments for Cisco and Vocera (News - Alert) equipment. The company stated that these new features allow customers to identify problems earlier in the process of deploying VoWLAN.
