Cable&Wireless, an international communications company, announced a strategic partnership with
Infoplex, an IT managed service provider in Australia, to deliver IT and network services across Asia Pacific.
As per the agreement, Cable&Wireless will provide bandwidth and value-added telecommunications services such as managed bandwidth, Internet access and network management services to enable Infoplex to offer their cloud services to customers in Middle East Asia, India and the rest of Asia Pacific.
Through this partnership, Cable&Wireless enables Infoplex to deliver Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network connectivity as well as Network Points-of-Presence (PoPs) in Asia Pacific.
Infoplex offers Web and application hosting, security, storage, backup, and disaster recovery to customers growing into Asia and the Middle East, complementing the company’s existing offerings in Australia.
“Our success over the years has been driven by our vision – to grow with our customers and deliver to their business outcomes,” said Scott Crane, general manager at Infoplex, in a statement. “Cable&Wireless demonstrate a lot of the same values – and are the preferred strategic partner for us as we expand globally.”
As a provider of managed data center and telecommunications services across the entire region, Infoplex aims to become an integrated global technology service provider to enterprises, Crande added.
“C&W is a key partner to enable us to deliver on this ambition,” he said.
“Our partnership allows Infoplex to offer a hassle-free, flexible, cost-effective access to world class data storage, IT management and telecommunications services to Asia Pacific-based companies who want to grow across the region – and, indeed, globally,” said Nick Lambert, president of the Asia Pacific region at Cable&Wireless, in a statement.
Cable&Wireless operates through two standalone business units - Europe, Asia and U.S. and International. The Europe, Asia and U.S. business unit provides enterprise and carrier solutions to the users of telecommunications services across the UK, U.S., continental Europe and Asia, and wholesale broadband services in the UK. It also delivers connectivity solutions to 153 countries.
In India, Cable&Wireless won the international long distance (ILD) and national long distance (NLD) licenses by the Indian Government earlier this year. The license will allow the company to roll out one of the most advanced next generation networks in India. Cable&Wireless also supports call center solutions in the country by offering managed network services (MNS).
