I.C.G., a wireless digital signage solutions provider, has signed a strategic master distribution agreement with Ingram Micro (

Alert). The agreement will initially focus on the United States market but will later include other global markets and includes the industry’s first end-to-end wireless digital signage hardware and services – I.C.G.’s MobileMedia System and ViFi Adapter, ICNet connectivity and ICPro suite of services.
Industry research indicates that by the year 2009 there will be over one million digital signs in North America. Noting that the North American market is on track to install nearly 135 million locations over the next 10 years, I.C.G. said their wireless digital signage solution redefines the industry standard by eliminating the costs associated with traditional wired solutions. This capability lowers the overall cost of entry for digital signage.
The company believes their agreement with Ingram Micro’s Digital Signage Division will now facilitate rapid market penetration into this high growth global market through Ingram Micro’s extensive solution provider network and VAR/reseller channel.
Kevin Howard, CEO of I.C.G said that Ingram Micro’s global footprint will enable I.C.G. to realize global expansion more efficiently as the global market for digital signage continues its massive growth.
Howard also said that by aligning with Ingram Micro’s Digital Signage Division, they will have the proper distribution, logistics and channel mechanisms in place to meet this increasing market demand.
I.C.G.’s wireless digital signage offering provides Ingram Micro with key technology and services for their solution provider and VAR/reseller networks to address the market, according to Kevin Prewett, vice president, vendor management for Ingram Micro’s Digital Signage Division.
