TRENDnet, a provider of wired and wireless networking hardware solutions, announced the availability of its new 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge, TEW-640MB.

According to TRENDnet (News - Alert), the new 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge TEW-640MB is capable of delivering high performance wireless connection for all networked media center devices such as Ethernet-ready gaming console, network television, receiver, media controller, and DVR. Precisely, it connects networked media center devices to a lag-free high-speed wireless n network.

Eliminating the need to place the media center near a hardwired Internet connection, the new 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge helps users to experience the high definition connection quality.

Available at MSRP US $69.99, the new 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge TEW-640MB features latest in wireless encryption in order to ensure wireless security. It also features advanced Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology, in order to eliminate wireless dead spots.

Officials with TRENDnet said in a press release that the new 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge features WMM Quality of Service (QoS) technology that prioritizes gaming, Internet calls, and video streams.

Users, who have a router with a WPS button, practically do not require any setup. The user can simply power up the TEW-640MB device and press the WPS button on the router, and then the WPS button on the TEW-640MB. The device will be connected to the user’s router and the Internet. Network media center devices can be connected to the four Ethernet ports on the back of the TEW-640MB for instant Internet access.

"Following the tremendous success of our 300Mbps Wireless N Gaming Adapter, model TEW-647GA, we decided to build the foundation of the 300Mbps Wireless N Media Bridge with the same high performance chipset," stated Sonny Su, technology director for TRENDnet, in a statement. Users were saying that they absolutely loved the performance and the look of the TEW-647GA, but wanted more ports to connect all of their new media center devices to a high performance wireless connection. In the recent news, TRENDnet announced the availability of 500Mbps Powerline AV adapter, TPL-401E, and the 500Mbps Powerline AV adapter kit, TPL-401E2K. The new 500Mbps Powerline AV adapter can plug into any electrical outlet to create a secure 500Mbps building-wide network. For instant high-speed network access, user can connect one adapter to the router and plug another adapter into any outlet on the electrical system.
