Webinar - Mobile Enterprise App Development Remains a Challenge

We all live on our mobile devices, which has led to the rise of the mobile app. Mobile apps are not just for fun and games. They have become an important method of information sharing for businesses. According to some sources mobile enterprise apps drive billions in new revenue.

But creating and delivering successful mobile apps is no small feat.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find the time and the talent to do mobile app development, and even more difficult to do it right. It appears that those challenges will only mount over time.

"We're seeing demand for mobile apps outstrip available development capacity, making quick creation of apps even more challenging," says Adrian Leow, principal research analyst at Gartner (News - Alert), which reports that by the end of 2017 market demand for mobile app development services will grow at least five times faster than internal IT organizations’ capacity to delver them

A 2014 Gartner survey found that most organizations have developed and released fewer than 10 apps, and many of them had yet to release their first mobile app.

"This is an indication of the nascent state of mobility in most organizations, with many organizations questioning how to start app development in terms of tools, vendors, architectures or platforms, let alone being able to scale up to releasing 100 apps or more," says Leow.
