Peerless Network Reaches 5 Markets to Expand Footprint

By Greg Tavarez September 18, 2023

Peerless Network, a provider of carrier services, has been at the forefront of the telecommunications industry for years. Peerless offers solutions that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of enterprise and VoIP customers. These solutions include its comprehensive suite of carrier services, which includes toll-free, PSTN control, IPES, IP control, DIDs, local transit service, switched access and domestic and international long-distance services.

In 2022, Peerless was acquired by Infobip (News - Alert), which further strengthened Peerless' ability to provide telecommunications solutions. For example, Peerless Network's automated platforms, the Peerless Portal and ANImate, simplify the provisioning of various services, including SIP trunking channels, toll-free services, SD-WAN and more, all from a single advanced system.

There’s no doubt that Peerless remains dedicated to delivering innovation and value to its customers, all while expanding its reach across different markets. And now, the Infobip company announced that five markets are now operational on Peerless’ all IP network:

  • Mobile, Alabama – LATA 480
  • Montgomery, Alabama – LATA 478
  • Asheville, North Carolina – LATA 420
  • Wytheville, Virginia – LATA 956
  • Bluefield, West Virginia – LATA 932

LATA, or Local Access and Transport Area, is a geographical designation used in the U.S. to regulate and define the boundaries of regional telecommunications service areas. These areas were established by the Federal Communications Commission as part of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 to promote competition and ensure fair access to local telephone services.

“We have always been laser focused on providing our customers with high quality services and doing so at a very competitive price point. With the ongoing addition of new markets to our fully IP-based network, we are able to keep more of our customers’ traffic on-net, leading to a lower total communications investment,” said Rick Knight, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Peerless. “Even more exciting is that Peerless is now part of Infobip, and we are offering our exceptional on-net voice services to Infobip’s customer base.”

Peerless’ Tier 1 network was built from the ground up beginning in 2008. The network now carries over 9 billion minutes of traffic each month, with 4,500 interconnections, service to over 200 LATAs and 99.999% reliability.

This commitment, backed by the results listed above, ensure that Peerless remains a pioneer in the telecommunications industry.
