Cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated and widespread, even to the point of reaching critical communications systems worldwide. No public safety entity can afford to have its personnel exposed to bad actors.
That is why it is important to ensure encryption and location security at every end point. Encryption helps protect sensitive data from being accessed or intercepted by unauthorized users or attackers. This is important for organizations that handle sensitive or confidential data, such as financial institutions, healthcare providers and government agencies. That doesn’t mean individuals and small businesses miss out. They also can benefit from endpoint security to protect their personal information and sensitive data.
RadioIP's Armada Mobile VPN app secures all data connectivity to ensure that location and connection are safe and impenetrable. The app protects against bad actors who are focused on disruption, communication interference, public safety destabilization and other location spoofing activities.
Building on those capabilities, RadioIP and NextNav are in a partnership with the launch of the latest release of the Armada VPN Client and Synopsis (News - Alert) Control Center, which now includes precision z-axis vertical location intelligence powered by NextNav's Pinnacle technology.
With this release, first responder and security agency users of the Real-Time Monitoring and Alerting Metrics Platform ensure personnel are safe and securely located at horizontal and vertical levels, and that command can have the connectivity and situational awareness required.
“NextNav's z-axis services, combined with Armada VPN's secure connectivity, will provide the location intelligence needed for today's public safety and security challenges," said Roch Tremblay, chief operating officer of RadioIP.
NextNav enables a new ecosystem of applications and services that rely upon vertical location and resilient geolocation technology. The company's Pinnacle network delivers accurate vertical positioning to transform location services, reflecting the 3D world and supporting innovative, new capabilities.
RadioIP's partnership with NextNav's Pinnacle allows Armada to capture and securely deliver not only x and y location tracks, but also vertical data. When combined with RadioIP's Synopsis Metrics platform, agencies have a complete view of all location services and network performance so that responders are secured and the connectivity they rely upon performs as required.
“Location intelligence is a critical component in first responder safety and situational awareness," said Ambroise Popper, vice president and general manager of NextNav. “NextNav is committed to helping organizations better meet current trends, while maintaining the privacy and security necessary for sensitive operations.”
The partnership provides the public safety community with precise 3D location technology to better protect the community and save lives.
