Liberty Latin America Monitors Network and Prevents Fraud with Ribbon

Liberty Latin America offers communication, high-speed connectivity and entertainment services and products across fixed and wireless networks to SMBs, large enterprises and governments. As with every provider, its performance needs to be enhanced to continue delivering the solutions that their customers rely on.




Think about it. Service providers need powerful, flexible, and easy-to-use analytics tools to visualize and monitor network performance.

This prompted Liberty Latin America to select Ribbon Analytics to gain an in-depth view of its network behavior and enhance its performance.

With Ribbon Analytics, Liberty Latin America gains extensive monitoring capabilities for KPIs and key trends as well as the ability to alert, diagnose, and resolve multiple security threats or Quality of Experience issues, resulting in end-to-end network visibility, improved operational productivity, and incident resolution.

Liberty Latin America leverages Ribbon's Analytics solution to develop KPIs and dashboards for third party devices. The solution flow involves ingesting data from cable modem termination systems and Wi-Fi devices, capturing this information into their Network Quality Index and feeding it to Ribbon Analytics, which enriches the data and helps create new dashboards to track performance and security.

Marsico and Liberty Latin America say that the capabilities that come with Ribbon Analytics – improved identification, fraud attempt prevention, insights into voice quality and automated troubleshooting in the event of an issue – the company gains the data needed to manage its network for improved performance and efficiency.
