Vonage Named 2022 CPaaS Leader

By Stefania Viscusi June 07, 2022

NJ-based cloud communications solutions provider Vonage has been helping businesses with their digital transformations by providing communications functions and applications that are flexible and powerful.

Recognizing the company’s significance in the CPaaS market, research firm Omdia has named the company a Leader in its Omdia Universe: Selecting a CPaaS Platform 2022 report.

Among the reasons is Vonage (News - Alert)'s CPaaS platform, which has a strong community of over a million registered developers and its wide geographic reach. In addition to enterprise-grade services, it’s also noted for offering a robust global communications network.

"In this increasingly digital world, CPaaS capabilities have become a must for businesses across industries that want to make meaningful connections with customers and to keep those loyalties in an incredibly competitive landscape. Vonage has been ranked as a leader in the Omdia Universe because it scored highly across a range of categories for its CPaaS capabilities, including APIs, value-added services and packaged solutions, access and integration, and use cases, among others," said Pamela Clark-Dickson, Principal Analyst, Advanced Messaging and Communications for Omdia.

Vonage's CPaaS business increased 42 percent in 2021 and it is one of the largest vendors by revenue.

"With our CPaaS platform, our vast developer community has the APIs to develop an unlimited number of enterprise-focused communications use cases to create better engagement and experiences for their customers,” said Rory Read, Vonage CEO. “It is powerful for developers and can provide businesses with powerful and disruptive solutions for their industries."

The Vonage Communications Platform (VCP) combines CPaaS, Unified Communications (News - Alert), Contact Center and Conversational Commerce solutions, which have become increasingly critical for businesses looking to strengthen their overall performance and brand.

Vonage took the top spot in eight of the ten categories and scored the highest in Solution Breadth, Solution Innovation and Strategy/Roadmap.
