Lawrence Byrd is Director of Unified Communications Architecture and helps drive the definition and communication of Avaya’s intelligent communications strategy. Lawrence has eighteen years of communications, CRM and contact center experience and thirty years of advanced software and Internet experience. Lawrence was co-founder of Quintus Corporation in 1984 where he held executive positions in software development, marketing and strategy. Quintus was a leading provider of multimedia contact center software that was acquired by Avaya in 2001. Lawrence has a BA in Philosophy from Durham, England, was a research associate in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and now lives with his family in California.

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION Louis Marascio, Cisco (CK-02)

Louis Marascio is a Director of Engineering at Cisco where he leads the engineering team responsible for designing and building the Cisco Unified Application Environment, a development and runtime platform for Cisco Unified Communications Solutions. Louis has been with Cisco since June 2006 when he joined the company in conjunction with the acquisition of Metreos Corporation where he was the Founder and Chief Technology Officer responsible for the design, architecture, and implementation of the Metreos product line.

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION Fred Zimmerman, Texas Instruments (CK-03)

As the director of product management and applications in TI's VoIP business, Fred Zimmerman defines the strategies and products to support the adoption of VoIP in gateways, IP phones, WLAN IP phones, video telephony products and WiFi/Bluetooth solutions.
Previously, Zimmerman served as the Director of Silicon Platform Development for the VoIP business unit. He was also the department manager a business unit developing embedded DSP chipset solutions for storage applications. He has held a variety of engineering and management roles in groups focusing on consumer, PC, and military semiconductor applications during a career spanning 20 years.
Zimmerman has a BS in Computer Science from Regents College and is a Member Emeritus of the group technical staff at TI.

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION Sharone Ben-Levi, AudioCodes (CK-04)

Sharone Ben-Levi is Vice President of Marketing Enterprise Enhanced Services at AudioCodes Inc. He is responsible for setting strategic direction and marketing execution for enabling technology solutions. Mr. Ben-Levi joined AudioCodes in 2000 as a sales and marketing director with a wide range of product responsibilities and a consistent performance record of attaining top level sales. Prior to joining AudioCodes, he managed sales for Nice Systems in Northern Europe and held engineering and managerial positions in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Intelligence Corps, SIGINT Unit. Mr. Ben-Levi has 14 years of telecommunications experience. Mr. Ben-Levi holds Engineering and MBA degrees from Tel-Aviv University.
