Marc Zionts, a communications industry executive for nearly two decades, currently serves as CEO of Cantata Technology, established in 2006 through the combination of Brooktrout Technology and Excel Switching Corporation. Prior to the establishment of Cantata, Mr. Zionts was instrumental in the "spin out" of Excel Switching Corporation from Lucent Technologies into a privately held company in 2003, and served as its CEO until 2006. Mr. Zionts has also served as CEO of Airslide Systems, Inc. and Westell Technologies, and also co-founded a systems integration business based in the Chicago, IL area. Mr. Zionts began his career with GTE and Fujitsu/GTE Business Systems, serving in various sales and marketing capacities. A frequent guest speaker at industry conferences, and regular contributor to major industry publications and journals, Mr. Zionts is also active in communications industry associations. Mr. Zionts earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology.
