eClinical Solutions Expands elluminate IQ Offering for AI-Enabled Data Review to Deliver Increased Efficiencies and Quality to Clinical Data Management

eClinical Solutions, a global provider of digital clinical software and biometrics services, today announced expanded artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities within the elluminate IQ offering. Embedded in elluminate Data Central - the elluminate Clinical Data Cloud's data management workbench providing seamless access to comprehensive trial data across systems and sources - elluminate IQ Review (eIQ Review) enables data management teams to leverage these advanced AI/ML capabilities to conduct data review in a more efficient, scalable way.

Detection of anomalous data by clinical reviewers has historically been difficult, manual, and time-consuming. Using the additional models deployed in eIQ Review, data issues are surfaced that wouldn't be identified in a traditional review approach and manual efforts are reduced, enabling data managers and medical reviewers to focus on critical data. As a result, data quality is improved, productivity across data management teams is increased, and cycle times are reduced. There are several use cases deployed in eIQ Review that collectively automate over 25 clinical data review objectives.

"The continued proliferation of data volume coupled with heightened demand for efficiency and cycle time gains necessitates the adoption of advanced AI techniques," says Raj Indupuri, CEO and co-founder of eClinical Solutions. "The application of AI/ML models, like those in elluminate IQ, to rapidly identify anomalous data can help address the most challenging and time-consuming aspects of clinical data. Integrating data across sources for one source of truth and providing reviewers these models along with advanced data review tools and analytics in a connected platform speeds cycle times across the data lifecycle. With eIQ Review, these data review-focused elluminate IQ models complement other aspects of the elluminate Clinical Data Cloud platform and enable data stakeholders to enhance collaboration by leveraging advanced techniques, clinical knowledge, and visualizations in a centralized surce of truth with unified interfaces."

The comprehensive elluminate platform including the expanded eIQ Review capabilities will be featured at industry events across the US and Europe this spring along with eClinical leaders sharing the latest trends across digital transformation and automation.

Medidata NEXT Basel 2023 (May 25) elluminate IQ will be showcased at Medidata NEXT in Basel, Switzerland. At 11:15 am, Marty Roche, eClinical Solutions' chief business officer, will participate in an interview-style discussion alongside Pete Buckman, SVP of professional services at Medidata, to discuss the fifteen-year partnership of the two organizations leveraging the technology partners' innovative and unique paths to bringing therapies to patients faster. Later at 2:05 pm, Liz Cole, senior product marketing manager at eClinical Solutions, will present, "The New Blueprint for Data Managers: Operationalizing Innovation & Automation Throughout the Trial Lifecycle," a session that explores the updated blueprint for clinical data management that leverages technology, automation, AI/ML, and risk-based approaches in conjunction with biometrics services to accelerate cycle times and gain richer, real-time insights that are needed for successful trials.

2023 PSI Annual Conference (June 11-14) Nathan Johnson, VP of innovation at eClinical Solutions, will present a session at PSI 2023 in London, England titled, "Driving Efficiency for Safety Analysis with Data Visualization," on Monday, June 12 from 4:05-4:30 pm. There he will discuss how safety analysis efficiency improvements can impact overall trial success. The session will explore new applications where data visualization can accelerate and improve clinical trial safety analysis. Johnson will discuss how visualizations advance safety analysis with early and continuous identification of trends through study-specific review and cross-trial analysis.

DIA 2023 Global Annual Meeting (June 26-28) eClinical Solutions will continue the conversations around streamlining end-to-end clinical data workflows at DIA 2023 in Boston, MA, both in booth #919 and eClinical Solutions' innovation theater presentation, "Blueprint for the Modern Clinical Data Ecosystem with Embedded AI," taking place Monday, June 26 from 3:30-4:00 pm. During the session, Johnson will delve into the modern data infrastructure for interoperability, transparency, and oversight amidst data chaos, as well as how deploying AI/ML can help drive crucial cycle time efficiencies. The live presentation will demonstrate how removing silos and fragmentation unlocks the value of data and enables automation and AI efficiencies in support of innovative trial models.
