Brand New Day Continues to Serve California Offering Specialized Medicare Advantage Plans with Enhanced Benefits this Annual Enrollment Period

Brand New Day, a leader in providing healthcare services for complex and vulnerable populations in California, continues to offer Medicare Advantage health plans with enhanced benefits to California residents this Annual Enrollment Period. Brand New Day has designed Medicare Advantage plans tailored to meet the specific needs of the Medicare-eligible population, including those with chronic conditions, a traditionally underserved group.

For more than 35 years, Brand New Day has focused on providing insurance coverage that improves care and outcomes for the general Medicare-eligible population as well as those with chronic conditions or dual special needs. That enduring commitment has led Brand New Day to a position as the country's third-largest provider of Chronic Special Needs (C-SNP) plans, a type of Medicare Advantage plan designed to meet the unique needs of those with chronic conditions.

"Brand New Day has deep roots in California, and we are proud to extend our unique benefits in 2023 to those who need them most," says Shawn Dewers, Bright Health Group California president. "We are committed to improving the health of the communities we serve by offering affordable plans that help people conveniently access the personalized care they want and deserve."

In 2023, Brand New Day will ofer plans in 22 northern, central, and southern California counties, providing programs specifically designed for the Medicare eligible population as well as those with ongoing medical conditions like diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), cardiovascular disease, dementia and behavioral health.

To make convenient access to healthcare more affordable for many Californians, Brand New Day offers Medicare Part B rebates of up to $1,800, per year, in some of the counties it serves, to lower members' monthly Part B premiums. And, its Comprehensive Care Management Programs include no-cost, state-of-the-art home medical telemedicine services for monitoring health improvements. Brand New Day also offers a unique, no-fee Transition of Care (TOC) program to assist members with safe, smooth and seamless transitions from one care setting to another.

Additionally, Brand New Day health plans feature a comprehensive list of benefits most requested by members, including:

  • $0 premiums
  • $0 generic drugs and $0 copays for select insulins
  • A healthy foods debit card for chronic conditions
  • Made-For-Me-Meals health eating program and nutritional counseling, at no cost
  • Dental care, including implants
  • Vision care
  • Hearing care services
