The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. Announces 2021 MD Cybersecurity Award Winners


The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI), Maryland's only nonprofit organization dedicated to bolstering the growth of the state's cybersecurity industry, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 MD Cybersecurity Awards. These competitive awards recognize leading-edge cybersecurity product and services companies headquartered in Maryland for their innovations and contributions to the state's cybersecurity ecosystem.

Award winners were unveiled during CAMI's Annual Celebration on September 22 and include:

Blackpoint Cyber, Cybersecurity Innovator of the Year Award
Dragos, Cybersecurity Defender of the Year Award
INKY Technology, Cybersecurity Company to Watch Award
Angie Lienert, IntelliGenesis, Cybersecurity Champion of the Year Award
Baltimore Cyber Range, Cybersecurity Diversity Trailblazer Award
Donna Ruginski, UMBC, Cyber Warrior Woman Award
SANS Institute, Cybersecurity Industry Resource Award
Fort Meade Alliance, Best of Anne Arundel County
Quantum (News - Alert) Xchange, Best of Montgomery County
Bricata, Best of Howard County
Smoothstack, People's Choice Award

In total, 87 nominations were considered across 7 categories for the 2021 MD Cybersecurity Awards. Entries were evaluated by 12 independent judges wose roles range from Vice Presidents to Founders.



"The 2021 MD Cybersecurity Awards demonstrates the incredible resiliency of Maryland's cybersecurity companies, as well as the overall growth of the industry," said Gregg Smith, CEO of Attila Security and Chairman of CAMI. "The winners comprise an elite group of cybersecurity leaders in the State of Maryland, and have contributed immensely to Maryland's growth as a national cybersecurity powerhouse."

The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI) is a statewide, 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization established in 2015. CAMI is Maryland's only organization solely dedicated to the growth of Maryland's cybersecurity industry. The organization strives to help members form connections with each other, industry resources and potential private and public sector buyers. Additionally, CAMI provides free cybersecurity incident response advice to Maryland businesses with its Cyber SWAT Team, composed of select organization members.
