Go Instore Launches ShopStream Immersive Livestream Shopping Technology

Go Instore, a video-first retail technology platform used by retailers around the globe, announced the launch of ShopStream. The new livestream shopping technology allows retailers to reach a broad digital audience, seamlessly coupled with Go Instore's one-to-one video chat technology for a more immersive, personalized online experience.

Go Instore has been refining its ShopStream technology for the past four years to offer its retail customers a best-in-class solution. With ShopStream, retailers can host livestream events with product experts or celebrity spokespeople to reach a wider array of customers. Consumers have the ability to join the stream and interact with other shoppers and moderators through the chat function - all on a dedicated product page. ShopStream differs from other livestream solutions, however, by allowing customers to still receive the one-to-one experience for which Go Instore is known. Shoppers can click a link within the stream to be transported to a one-to-one session with a local store agent for additional support and to make a purchase.

"ShopStream truly covers the entire customer journey from end-to-en," says Andre Hordagoda, co-founder and co-CEO, Go Instore. "As livestreaming becomes more popular around the world, we wanted to offer our current and future customers a truly cohesive video solution to engage with customers and maximize profits. We're already seeing success with pilot programs being tested by some of our customers."

Go Instore's one-to-one video technology has been adopted by some of the world's biggest brands in the UK, Europe and Asia, such as Samsung (News - Alert), HP, DeBeers and Signet Jewelers. Data shows Go Instore's video chat and livestream offerings can increase conversion rates for retailer's e-commerce operations. Typical online conversions range from 3% to 5%, whereas livestreaming offers a 10% conversion rate and one-to-one video chat can increase conversions up to 20% to 30% - the equivalent of in-store conversion rates.

"We're very excited to introduce ShopStream to our customer base and see continued results from our technology," adds Hordagoda. "Consumer behavior has changed drastically in the past year, and we will continue innovating to keep up with these behaviors, as well as consumer and retailer demands."
