  • "The pandemic has highlighted the fact that project data needs to be centralized, even if project teams are not. Project Managers need to rely on current, accurate data to succeed in their job. After 18 months of remote work, Project Management software has shifted further towards being more of a collaboration solution than a cost and timeline calculator," Ugbad Farah, senior research analyst, Info-Tech Research Group.

What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different?

The study involves gathering intelligence on user satisfaction with both product features and the experience with the vendor. Aggregated emotional response ratings are included in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product - all from the software users' point of view. SoftwareReviews calls this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.

Wrike, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +98, ranked strongly in workflow management by including the ability to support flexible and comprehensive workflow-based capabilities. Adobe Workfront received a Net Emotional Footprint of +95 and exceeded user expectation in many categories, especially in business value creation. LiquidPlanner, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +95, performed well overall, particularly in helping the customer successfully implement new solutions to realized full value and promote user adoption. Smartsheet, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +93, ranked high in hierarchical task tracking to create templates and unique projects to support tasks that can be divided into sub-tasks and be delegated.

GanttPRO, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +90, performed exceptionally in planning and scheduling. Asana received a Net Emotional Footprint of +94 and satisfied users by including exceptional collaboration features, which allows users the ability to view, share, and direct work between co-workers in real and near real-time. Basecamp, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +97, performed well overall, particularly in business value creation.

In general, Project Management users were most satisfied with collaboration features and most dissatisfied with complicated customizations and integration processes.
