TÜV Rheinland Recognized as HDMI Category 3 Cable Assembly EMI Testing Provider
SHENZHEN, China, Oct. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- TÜV Rheinland Greater China announces that its EMC laboratory located in IOT Excellence Center, Shenzhen, China, has been recognized as an authorized provider of HDMI® category 3 cable assembly EMI testing services. Conducted from September, 2020, the online audit was carried out by the HDMI Forum, the industry organization that developed the HDMI 2.1 Specification and Compliance Test Specification (CTS). The official confirmation recognizing TÜV Rheinland's Shenzhen EMC facility as one of the only two authorized test providers in mainland China for this category of testing services.
As a technological standard for high-quality data transmission, HDMI technology is widely used in audio, video, and other IT applications. HDMI specification versions are constantly updated to keep pace with the rapid developments in multimedia technologies. The HDMI 2.1 CTS recently published by the HDMI Forum requires specific EMI test requirements, in addition to increasing content resolution from 4K to 8K.
