OneAmerica® Commits to Growing People Through Continuing Education

OneAmerica is doubling down on its commitment to provide top-notch external training during the COVID-19 era with a strong lineup of virtual classes meant to assist financial professionals with yearly continuing education (CE) requirements.

Courses are accredited by the National Underwriter Company, and feature employee benefits associates who present on multiple topics, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, ethics, trends in group disability insurance and trends in group life insurance.

Sign-up and participation are required by attendees to receive credit for the classes, which vary from one to three hours each in length.

"The virtual offerings are expanded and replace typical in-person education that was made difficult to conduct due to the pandemic and resulting social-distancing mandates in many cities," said Jim McGovern, OneAmerica senior vice president, Employee Benefits. "CE provides an online opportunity to stay connected to others while growing one's industry knowledge."

"Our new reality is daunting; however, those interested can ask their favorite OneAmerica associate for more available CE courses, to schedule your next instruction session or simply to catch up," McGovern said. "The marketplace is not the only thing in constant movement. Current events evolve, laws change and technology advances."

Other New Training and Opportunities

In addition to the CE courses, OneAmerica also offers non-CE thought leadership on a number of other beneficial topics related o product and service knowledge. If professionals missed one of the past webinars, they can watch the recordings on-demand and review supporting resources 24/7 at https://www.oneamerica.com/campaigns/BrokerTraining

Associates are educated on the most current industry changes, so they are equipped to address questions that arise from financial professionals or OneAmerica clients regarding coverage or eligibility during this pandemic.
