Veteran Publishing Executive Kate Runde Appointed Director of Acquisitions and Author Relations at Podium Audio


Leading independent studio Podium Audio announced earlier today the appointment of Kate Runde as Director of Acquisitions and Author Relations. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing the rapidly growing list of self-published authors, securing new works in key genres, and deepening partnerships with new and existing storytellers to support their growing fan bases.

Runde brings fifteen years of industry experience to Podium. She served as the Director of Publicity for Vintage Books and Anchor Books (Knopf Doubleday Group) at Penguin Random House since 2013, working on media, events, and publishing strategies for authors such as Jon Krakauer, Jennifer Egan, Toni Morrison, Richard Russo, Lawrence Wright, Jeffrey Toobin, Tom Hanks, Andre Agassi, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Oliver Sacks, Justice Stephen Breyer, Karen Russell, Emily St. John Mandel and many more.
