ArmadaHealth® today announced that its Chief Operating Officer, Susan Torroella, was named last night by The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) as the 2020 STAR (News - Alert) (Strategic Transformation Achievement Recognition) honoree during a reception at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. The awards ceremony will take place at the annual HBA Woman of the Year event in New York City in April.

For over 20 years, the HBA has bestowed this honor to a standout volunteer who has made a significant commitment and global contribution to the association and its members - serving as an exemplary role model with demonstrated long-term commitment to furthering the HBA's strategic goals. Torroella has served as a passionate advocate of the HBA's mission for more than 15 years, helping advance the impact of women in the business of healthcare.

Torroella, former President of the HBA, prior member of both the HBA global board and executive committee, as well as a former member of the Council of Chapter Presidents, has catalyzed greater equity in the workplace through her executive and C-suite roles throughout her career - including her current position as COO at ArmadaHealth. Further, by utilizing her management acumen o grow and guide the HBA, Torroella was instrumental in founding the HBA Mid-Atlantic chapter in 2004. Torroella has delivered strategic and transformative insights that have shaped the modern HBA and have contributed to her earned accolades as a leading healthcare businesswoman from respected publications, including Fortune magazine and PharmaVOICE.
