The annual education initiative, now in its eighth year, starts one month before Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period (Oct. 15-Dec. 7). National Medicare Education Week helps educate new enrollees and empower them to feel confident when it comes time to select their Medicare options. National Medicare Education Week is supported by AARP, Caregiver Action Network, Fitbit, National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a), UnitedHealthcare and Walgreens, in addition to health care providers, senior centers and other local organizations.
