Litigation and Government Investigations Attorneys Cory Kirchert and Georgina Shepard Expand Arnall Golden Gregory's Washington, D.C. OfficeFormer U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Senior Counsel, Cory Kirchert, and litigation associate Georgina Shepard recently joined Arnall Golden Gregory's Government Investigations practice and are resident in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. "Cory and Georgina have added another layer of depth to the government investigations practice that was bolstered earlier this year by the additions of Adriaen Morse and Troy Brown, two former SEC (News - Alert) attorneys. Kirchert joined the firm as of counsel, where he assists clients with civil litigation, government investigations, criminal prosecutions, and interna compliance issues. He represents public companies and professional services firms in investigations with the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, and other federal and state securities industry regulators. He previously served at the SEC as Senior Counsel for more than 25 years, as an accounting professor at the University of Virginia, and is a CPA. Shepard, who joined AGG from another law firm, represents corporations and individuals in investigations, enforcement, compliance and litigation in DOJ, Inspector General and FCPA investigations. She has defended individuals in federal and state courts involving white-collar criminal offenses such as shareholder fraud, embezzlement, tax offenses and false statements.
