Gradiant's CEO and Co-founder Named to MIT Technology Review 2019 Innovator Under 35 List

Today, Gradiant's CEO and Co-founder, Anurag Bajpayee, was named to MIT Technology Review's annual list of Innovators Under 35 in the entrepreneur category. Every year, MIT (News - Alert) Technology Review recognizes a list of exceptionally talented technologists whose work has great potential to transform the world. Past recipients include Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Google's Larry Page (News - Alert) and Sergey Brin.

Dr. Bajpayee received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT where he developed a water treatment technology that was awarded Scientific American's Top 10 World Changing Ideas. From there, he, along with his Co-founder and CTO Dr. Prakash Govindan, founded Gradiant, a water technology and services company that now has over 150 employees across 5 countries, over two hundred patents, and a comprehensive portfolio of water treatment technologies and solutions focused onsolving the world's most challenging water problems.

"It is an honor to be on this list and among such a revered group of people. Being recognized here has reinforced my belief that focusing on cleaning the world's most contaminated waters in efficient and environmentally friendly ways is a worthy pursuit whose impact is well understood. Gradiant will continue to pursue this objective in order to become the world's most impactful water company," Dr. Bajpayee stated.

Gideon Lichfield, editor-in-chief of MIT Technology Review, said: "MIT Technology Review's annual Innovators Under 35 list is a chance for us to honor the outstanding people behind the breakthrough technologies of the year that have the potential to disrupt our lives. These profiles offer a glimpse into what the face of technology looks like today as well as in the future."
