Demand Management Customer Named a Rock Star of the Supply Chain

Demand Management, Inc., a leading global resource for cloud-based supply chain management solutions, announced today that Brian Moynihan, Director of Sales and Operations Planning at its client company Blommer Chocolate, has been named a 2019 Food Logistics Champions: Rock Star of the Supply Chain. This is the second consecutive year a Demand Management nominee has received this award.

The Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award recognizes influential individuals in the food industry whose achievements, hard work, and vision have shaped and attained milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity, and innovation throughout the global food supply chain.

Under Moynihan's guidance, Blommer has been using the DSX™ Demand Planning and Collaboration tools to drive joint ownership of the demand plan across its sales and demand planning teams. Each month, DSX Collaboration helps the sales team adjust its forecast for "A" items and influence the accuracy of this metric by partnering with the supply chain team to drive forecast accuracy. "With Collaboration, we can use data from the sales team to drive the desired business outcomes such as stock programs, lower lead-times, etc. while building deeper, more meaningful relationships with our sales team," said Moynihan.

Blommer also uses DSX Collaboration to increase visibility in critical niche areas of the business where they want to drive specific supply chain strategies such as reduced lead times and stock programs.

"We extend our sincere congratulations to Brian Moynihan and his team at Blommer Chocolate for earning this tremendous honor," said Bill Harrison, president of Demand Management, Inc. "This is exactly the kind of collaboration and shared accountability that Demand Solutions DSX is designed to support. We hope that more and more companies in the food industry will follow Blommer's example as they look for ways to increase forecast accuracy while reducing costs."
