Ameriprise Financial Appoints New DirectorAmeriprise Financial, Inc. (NYSE: AMP) today announced that Mr. Brian T. Shea has been appointed to its board of directors, effective as of June 1, 2019. Mr. Shea previously served as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Investment Services for BNY Mellon, which included overseeing the firm's global technology and operations. He also previously held multiple senior executive roles at Pershing, LLC, including Chairman, CEO, President and COO. Mr. Shea has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, a director of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp., a director of the Insured Retirement Institute and was Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Authority. Mr. Shea currently serves as an independent director on the boards of Fidelity National Information Services (News - Alert), Inc. and RBB Funds, Inc, and he previously served as an ndependent director on the board of WisdomTree Investments, Inc. Mr. Shea received his B.S. in Business Management from St. John's University (where he currently serves as a trustee) and an M.B.A. in Finance from Pace University.
