Callan Farris Announces Philanthropic Commitment to Global Education as Room to Read Ambassador

Callan Farris, actor, musician, and student, has been named an ambassador for Room to Read, a global non-profit focused on literacy and girls' education. The announcement was made last night by Dr. Geetha Murali, Room to Read CEO at the Pasadena Public Library during an event featuring Farris and Stuart Gibbs, New York Times bestselling children's book author. Farris has committed to a personal fundraising goal of US$35,000 to support Room to Read's literacy and girls' education program in India. Farris's philanthropic commitment is aligned with Room to Read's global moement called Active for Education, https://www.roomtoread.org/get-active, which encourages supporters around the world to activate their body and mind through personalized fundraising campaigns. As a Room to Read ambassador, Farris will participate in awareness raising activities to advocate for Room to Read's programs in literacy and girls' education, which enable students to reach their full potential and contribute to society.

He has appeared in a number of national television commercials.
