Univa Introduces to the Community

CHICAGO – April 15, 2019 – Univa®, a leading innovator in enterprise-grade workload management and optimization solutions for on-premise and hybrid cloud high-performance computing (HPC), today announced that it has developed a new website for the HPC community called The website is designed to serve as a useful resource for HPC users across all industries that are looking for information to help them bring their innovative products to market faster and on budget.

“The goal of is to give the HPC community a place that can offer valuable industry insight, use cases and the latest HPC events taking place across the globe,” said Rob Lalonde, VP and GM of Cloud at Univa. “Univa’s inspiration for this site was its customers and what the company had been witnessing over the past couple of years in the HPC space. This is an exciting growth stage for HPC, which is driven by new application deployment models (such as AI and machine learning), new cloud-service offerings and advances in management software.” HPC is all about scale and speed in which users are pushing to accelerate their most complex HPC workloads’ time to completion. As a result, IT organizations are looking to maximize their HPC computing resources for harnessing the cloud. And yet with all of the advantages of migrating workloads to the cloud, this also brings the potential to escalate preexisting complexities. If companies do not have good visibility into how their existing infrastructure is being used, it will be impossible to tell whether the addition of cloud is yielding the results they are looking to achieve. The website not only provides useful information, use cases and specific industry examples to the community, but it also provide answers to such complexities that may arise when migrating HPC workloads to the cloud.
