Accelerate Learning CEO Vernon Johnson Named EdTech Visionary Leader for 2019


Dr. Vernon Johnson, president and CEO of Accelerate Learning, has received the 2019 "Visionary" award in the Leadership category of the 2019 EdTech Awards. In addition to Johnson's Leadership Award, Accelerate Learning was named a finalist for a Trendsetter Award in the "edtech company setting a trend" category.

For nearly a decade, the EdTech Awards program has sought to highlight and celebrate innovators, leaders and trendsetters in the education technology industry. This year's program featured over 50 different subcategories of awards including best video-based learning solutions, special needs/assistive technology solutions, emerging technologies, college prep solutions and more.

"I am extremely honored to be recognized as the winner of this year's Visionary award," said Johnson. "But as we all know, it takes a team to bring a product to market and I am fortunate to be supported daily by talented professionals who bring ther best to our work of providing the best digital science and STEM resources to preK-12 education."



Accelerate Learning's solutions were also recognized as finalists in three of the competition's Cool Tool Awards categories. They are:

"This year's finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including: pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value and potential.
