Transition Networks to Showcase PoE+ and PoE++ Switches and Integrated Solutions for Smart City Security Infrastructure at ISC WestMINNEAPOLIS, April 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Transition Networks, Inc., a leading provider of edge connectivity solutions, today announced its participation in the ISC West Conference & Exhibition, taking place April 9-12 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, NV. Transition Networks will showcase its TAA compliant Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+ and PoE++) switches and other solutions for indoor and outdoor security, intelligent transportation, and smart building applications. A key focus will be on how various products, including the company's smart managed switches and power supplies can be integrated to provide reliable connectivity, high bandwidth and power for smart city security infrastructures. ISC West is the largest converged security industry trade show in the U.S., bringing together over 30,000 security professionals and over 1,000 exhibitors. Transition Networks will exhibit in booth #20131. "Intelligent transportation systems, smart buildings and video surveillance are critical components of the smart city, but delivering the necessary connectivity, bandwidth and power to these applications can be a challenge," said Anita Kumar, Director of Product Management for Transition Networks. "Transition Networks offers cost-effective PoE+ and PoE++ switches to meet these needs and are some of the easiest to install and manage. Our goal is to provide solutions that enable smart cities to easily evolve with their growing bandwidth and security needs by making the edge of the network smarter with proactive and actionable intelligence." Products on Display Each switch includes key features that improve operational efficiency in a variety of smart city applications. Auto Power Reset (APR) allows the switches to automatically monitor and reset an attached powered device, avoiding the need to dispatch a technician to reboot the powered device. PoE scheduling allows the switches to enable or disable specific ports according to a user-designated schedule, to help cities save on energy and costs. Transition Networks' Smart Managed Switches with Device Management System (DMS) software provide advanced tools necessary for total management of all IP addressable devices, resulting in lower overall cost, less downtime and easier management of the entire smart city PoE network. Through a partnership with Verint® Systems Inc., Transition Networks will be demonstrating the DMS as part of an integration with Verint's video management software (VMS). The combined solution delivers improved control and management of security cameras and other connected devices. Highlighting its simple and compact integrated solutions for smart cities, Transition Networks will demonstrate a new hardened 480 watt power supply with 56VDC and 24VDC outputs, designed to optimize limited space in outdoor cabinets that house many of these smart devices, as well as a new enclosure door alarm device which can provide alerts if the cabinet door has been opened. There will also be an assortment of Transition Networks' broad offering of small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceivers, designed to help networks evolve to meet the high-speed demands of IoT and smart city applications. With throughput up to 100 Gbps and Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) compliance, Transition Networks' SFPs provide a cost-effective and flexible method to accommodate bandwidth growth.
