StreamSets Rides DataOps Momentum as Subscription Revenues Triple

SAN FRANCISCO, March 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StreamSets Inc., provider of the industry’s first DataOps platform for data integration, announced today it concluded its most recent fiscal year with a number of notable successes. For the fiscal year just ended, StreamSets roughly tripled its subscription revenue, doubled its customer count and increased its average subscription per customer by more than 50 percent.

StreamSets’ impressive growth is being driven by accelerating demand for the industry’s only DataOps platform for modern data integration. In the past four quarters, StreamSets has doubled its number of customers, which span numerous verticals and six continents. Customers feature some of the world’s largest companies, including 10 Fortune 100 companies, and members of the Top 3 of the Fortune 1000 in healthcare, banking, insurance, telecoms and retail.

This month, the company opened a new expanded San Francisco headquarters and established a presence in France and Germany to complement existing international operations in the U.K., Spain and Australia.

StreamSets has also announced the industry’s first DataOps Summit, the first professional conference devoted to best practices, thought leadership an technical education for the emerging domain of DataOps. Held September 3-5, 2019 in San Francisco, the DataOps Summit brings together enterprise data professionals, industry experts and key technology companies in the DataOps ecosystem.

In the past six months, the company has broadened its cloud offering, announcing expanded coverage for AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Most recently, StreamSets for Snowflake was launched to simplify enterprise data integration projects related to the fastest growing cloud data warehouse.

Even as StreamSets has expanded its reach into cloud, the popularity of the open source StreamSets Data Collector™ continues to increase, and now has surpassed 4 million downloads since its launch in 2015. The number of active members in the open source community doubled during the year and the product has been identified as being in use at thousands of companies, including nearly 40 percent of the Fortune 500.

“Customer demand for DataOps is driven by two things — complexity and change. The geometric expansion in sources, storage-compute platforms and users, combined with data drift, makes DataOps strategic to data analytics,” said Girish Pancha, CEO of StreamSets. “Our success in both acquiring new customers and becoming their forward-looking data integration partner is a testament to our vision.”
