Desjardins is now available on the Google Assistant

LÉVIS, QC, March 22, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Desjardins members and clients who use a device powered by the Google Assistant can now get their recent transaction details and account balances with a simple voice command in English or French. It's a new way for accountholders to get reliable information fast, wherever they are and whenever they want.

Users will be able to get their chequing account or credit card balance and the details of their most recent transactions by launching the Google Assistant and providing a four-digit access code for security. "We're pleased to be one of the first financial institutions in the country to offer such advanced voice assistant features," said Desjardins President and CEO Guy Cormier. "It's another innovative way for our members and clients to interact wih us, and another way our digital shift is delivering real solutions for them."

The feature is now available for use with devices powered by the Google Assistant. "This is a recent development, not needing a keyboard to interact with your devices. We're very proud of what our teams have achieved with this feature, which we can now build on to create a whole range of new services," said Cormier.

With this new feature, Desjardins is continuing to find ways for its members to use their products and services how they want, where they want and when they want, whether it's for a major life event or an everyday transaction.
