Mobile Heartbeat Launches CURE Connect Interoperability Program to Bring New Capabilities Via its Clinical Communications Platform

Mobile Heartbeat®, a leading provider of mobile healthcare enterprise solutions that improve clinical workflow and care team communication, today announced the launch of its CURE Connect Interoperability Program to integrate and innovate technologies that will drive new mobile communications capabilities through the MH-CURE® secure clinical communications and collaboration platform. The program invites healthcare vendors with complementary solutions to partner and integrate their applications with MH-CURE via its CURE Connect suite of APIs.

CURE Connect includes standards-based APIs that enable the following:

  • Initiating and sending alerts and notifications to individual users, roles and groups,
  • Accessing patient and care team information in real time,
  • Enabling enterprise communications such as telephony or customized voice gateway services,
  • Facilitating seamless app-to-app workflows, and
  • Supporting enterprise management such as Active Directory synchronization, Single Sign-on and Mobile Device Management.

Current integration partners include: AirWatch, AirStrip, Allscripts, Amplion, Ascom, Avaya, Cerner (News - Alert), Cisco, Connexall, Critical Alert Systems, Epic, GE, Hill-Rom, MEDITECH, MobileIron, Oneview, pCare, Perahealth, Phillips, Qventus, Rauland-Borg/Ametek, Samsung (News - Alert), 7Signal, Teletracking, West-Com,Wolters Kluwer and Zebra Technologies, among others.

"Through integrating Mobile Heartbeat's Care Team Query API and Inbound Alerting API with our pCare interactive patient experience system, we provide patients with additional capabilities for communicating with staff that help improve operational efficiencies as well as patient satisfaction and outcomes," said Mar Cortina, CTO at pCare. "We can enable patients to find out who is on their care team by querying the real-time staff assignments maintained in MH-CURE, displaying them on pCare enabled devices in the patient's room, and then routing the patient's non-clinical requests to the correct care team member via MH-CURE. The patient can see the status of their request on pCare enabled devices when the care team member acknowledges via MH-CURE that they are responding to it."

pCare enabled devices include television, tablets, electronic whiteboards, and other mobile devices.

"Our number one strategy has always been to ultimately provide clinicians with all the communication and collaboration tools they need in the palm of their hand," said Mike Detjen, COO at Mobile Heartbeat. "Once an organization achieves enterprise adoption, the opportunity to innovate expands dramatically. The CURE Connect Integration Ecosystem allows hospitals to seamlessly add capabilities that create a robust, unified communications and mobility platform that dramatically improves productivity, responsiveness to patients and the overall delivery of care."
