"It's an honor to be selected for the CTA Board of Directors," said Petrie. "Their mission to protect the digital ecosystem through constantly improving threat awareness is critical for future economic and social development, and is consistent with how we at NTT Security support our clients every day."

John joins the board following the second annual election for three seats on the Board of Directors, which are reserved for industry veterans at affiliate member representatives. The latest news comes less than 10 months after NTT Security joined CTA as a new member.

In his new role as a board director, Petrie will use his unique technical and business expertise to collaborate with, and share information among, other leading cybersecurity organizations. NTT Security has long believed sharing information and collaborating with other firms is critical for delivering effective cybersecurity worldwide.

"The addition of John Petrie will add to the depth and experience to the board," said Michael Daniel, President and CEO of the CTA. "We look forward to his contributions over the next year."

Petrie is a well-respected and trusted senior technology executive in the industry and has been with NTT Security since 2016. Prior to his current role as CEO Americas, Petrie was Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), where he was responsible for overall information security strategy.
