Random42’s Intercellular – An Interbody VR Experience

Random42 are at the forefront of innovative technologies for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and this new release emphasises their desire to share this innovation and unique storytelling capability with a wider audience. The company consists of scientists, artists, animators and programmers who collaborate to effortlessly intertwine the worlds of science, art and technology, producing some of the most impactful scientific stories, imagery and interactive experiences.

Ben Ramsbottom, Random42 Medical Director and CEO commented on the new release:

"We are excited to launch our first truly educational virtual reality experience that is publicly available. We hope that this will go beyond our normal client base so that schols and universities as well as the greater scientific community can gain value from our work."

The new educational experience Intercellular can be viewed on the Random42 YouTube channel or website, or for the full immersive VR experience download the Random42 Virtual Reality App and use a VR viewer with your phone.

Leo Chilcott, Random42's Production Director, said:

"Intercellular was one of the more challenging VR projects the team have worked on. Transitioning from one 3D environment to the next is a delicate process in VR, making sure the leaps are not disorientating or jarring for the viewer. I think the team's hard work really paid off, I especially enjoy moving from the cellular to molecular level, watching the cell split open revealing another world inside."

How to view the experience:

For the best immersive experience download the app and use a VR viewer with your phone. If you don't have a VR viewer, such as a Google Cardboard, Random42 can send you one for free.
