Wolf Greenfield Names New Litigation Practice Chair


Intellectual property law firm Wolf Greenfield is pleased to announce it is appointing Gregory Corbett as the new chair of its Litigation Practice. Corbett is a shareholder in the Boston office, and he will oversee and lead the strategic direction of the Litigation Practice for the firm.

Corbett is a first-chair litigator with nearly 20 years of experience in all stages of complex intellectual property and patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, appellate matters, licensing and client counseling. He has represented significant clients in a wide range of technologies, including Sony, Google, EMC, Verizon Wireless (News - Alert), Segway, Samsung, Infineon Technologies, IBM, Straumann, BTG, GlaxoSmithKline and B. Braun Medical. His practice focuses on electronics, computer systems, semiconductors and internet technology, with extensive experience involving chemical products and processes, pharmaceuticals, biotech and medical device matters.

Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Corbett was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Kirkland & Ellis, and a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Arthur J. Gajarsa at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Honorable Edward F. Harrington at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He earned his A.B. from Harvard University and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.


He succeeds Michael Albert, who served as chair of the firm's Litigation Practice for nearly 15 years. "We are grateful for Michael's years of strong leadership building the capabilities and success of our Litigation Practice," said Oyer.
