Zettaset Expands Executive Team with New Marketing, Product and Sales Leads

Zettaset, a leading provider of software-defined encryption solutions, today announced that it has appointed Jeff Harrell as vice president of product & marketing and Tim Dyer as vice president of worldwide sales. Harrell and Dyer bring a combined 40 years of experience in the enterprise technology space to Zettaset's executive team and will help forward the company's mission to bring secure, easy-to-use and cost-effective encryption solutions to enterprise customers.

As VP of Product & Marketing, Harrell is responsible for product management and developing the strategic roadmap for the company's marketing initiatives. He has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and product management leadership, creating high-growth enterprise B2B software businesses and leading them to success. Prior to Zettaset, Harrell served as vice president of marketing at Redbooth and guided the company through an acquisition. He has been a founder or employee at 11 startups including nCircle, Qualys, McAfee (News - Alert), PGP, PrivNet and eMusic, and has participated in seven acquisitions on both the business and investment sides.

As VP of Worldwide Sales, Dyer brings more than 20 years of sales and business development experience to Zettaset. He most recently served as chief revenue officer at Guavus, the analytic division of Thales (News - Alert), Inc. Prior to Guavus, Tim held executive sales positions for a number of startups and established enterprises, including Ascend, Lucent, Vivace, Tellabs (News - Alert), ominum and ConteXtream. Through his career, Tim has managed teams of 200 people, maintained revenue responsibility for up to $800M and has been involved in numerous successful exits. Dyer is responsible for all of Zettaset's direct and channel sales efforts and leading the growing sales team.

"Both Jeff and Tim are seasoned enterprise technology executives with strong B2B software experience that will support Zettaset's commitment to helping organizations ensure the safe and scalable use of data as they embark on their digital transformation journeys," said Jim Vogt, President and CEO, Zettaset. "Our growing executive team and proven track record of success validates our commitment to becoming the premier solution for securing large-scale enterprise data through our unique approach to encryption."

Zettaset's software-only approach to encryption simplifies deployment and eliminates the need for proprietary appliances, making it an ideal solution for virtual and cloud applications. Its configurable key policies and administration provides the flexibility necessary for large-scale deployments. Designed to be deployed across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures, Zettaset drastically reduces the total cost of ownership compared to legacy solutions. The company's products can be deployed and maintained by existing IT and DevOps staff and do not require specialized encryption experts.

In addition to the company's new executive hires, Zettaset recently announced that it has joined the Cloud Foundry Foundation, making its first Cloud Foundry-specific encryption product, XCrypt Archive for Cloud Foundry BOSH, available to users.
