Indegy Reports Record Breaking Business Results for 2018

Indegy, a leader in industrial cyber security, today announced that growing concerns over critical infrastructure security and industry adoption of its hybrid detection approach to threat hunting helped it achieve record business results in 2018. CEO Barak will present a session at the S4x19 Conference tomorrow on active vs passive ICS security. The company exceeded revenue projections, increased customer acquisition by over 300% in key verticals and expanded its global footprint through strategic partnerships in all major markets.

In addition, the City of Raleigh's Indegy deployment was honored as one of the top security projects of the year in the prestigious 2019 CSO50 Awards, and Indegy won the E.ON (News - Alert) Corporate Challenge on Cyber Security against six other companies organized by leading European energy provider E.ON and its corporate accelerator and seed-investor :agile.

Indegy customers include two of the five largest pharmaceutical corporations in the world, several of the 50 largest US cities, one of the world's three largest automotive manufacturers, one of the five largest electric power generation companies in Europe, and one of the US's five largest financial services firms.

To help organizations in the power, utilities, automotive, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, transportation & logistics, food & beverage and building automation (BMS) better understand and address industrial cyber security challenges, Indegy introduced several major initiatives in 2018 that contributed to its market traction. These included an ICS Security Risk Assessment Servce, ICS Security Training, Managed Security Monitoring and ICS threat intelligence sharing in partnership with the Open Information Security Foundation (OISF).

In addition, the company expanded sales and marketing programs, including a newly rebranded website which provides a wide range of educational and technical resources on ICS security organized by industry, roles and challenges. These include screenshots, network diagrams, checklists for NIS, NERC (News - Alert) CIP and NIST, educational webinars, as well as ICS security testimonial videos by the City of Raleigh NC, Nesher Cement Enterprises and the Public Utilities District of Whatcom County in Washington State.

"2018 was a pivotal year for industrial cyber security. Not only did organizations recognize the traditional air-gap protecting operational networks has been punched full of holes, but advisories by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security on critical infrastructure threats made it official," said Barak Perelman, CEO of Indegy. "This increased sense of urgency among both IT and OT professionals to protect industrial control networks from third party risks and insider threats has helped establish the need for our combined passive and active detection approach that provides network visibility into changes, security and control. This was our best year yet, and 2019 is looking even more robust."
