Medley Global Advisors Hire Award-Winning Journalist to Lead Geopolitical Coverage

Medley Global Advisors are delighted to announce that Kambiz Foroohar has joined their research team as chief geopolitical strategist.

"Kambiz will bring us a rare combination of long experience and expertise in geopolitical risk assessment, understanding of energy and financial markets, and a journalist's 'nose' for a good story," said MGA President Paul Richards. "Kambiz will be an invaluable resource for our clients."

For the past five years, Kambiz has been reporting on national security issues for Bloomberg (News - Alert) News, covering everything from North Korea to Syria but with a special focus on the negotiations that led to the Iran nuclear deal in 2015.

Before these diplomatic assignments, he spent eight years at Bloomberg Markets magazine, writing investigatie stories on finance and business from tales of high frequency trading that led to the flash crash to profiles of hedge fund managers such as Paul Singer and John Henry. Kambiz's reports on Elon Musk and alternative fuels won him a National Press Award and his work on corruption, nepotism and presidential politics in Iran secured a Foreign Press Award.

Kambiz began his reporting career in 1991 at Dow Jones in New York and London and went on to work at Forbes and TheStreet.com before joining Bloomberg.
