"Master Your Card is dedicated to helping financially underserved communities move into the mainstream economy, and that begins with educating our youth," said Mercedes Garcia, Vice President Community Relations at Mastercard. "We are pleased that through the Master Your Card Program, now in its seventh year, we have collectively been able to impact thousands of students and families across the country. By teaching our students about money management and the power of electronic payments technology, we are setting the foundation for sound financial futures."

The Master Your Card School Program with EVERFI is part of a community initiative aimed at providing financial education to students at no cost t schools or taxpayers.  The program features an interactive, new-media learning platform specifically designed to introduce financial literacy skills and build financial capacity necessary as students transition into adulthood. "Every day in schools across the country, EVERFI works with teachers and students to bring these lessons to life harnessing the power of technology. Whether it's saving for the future or financing a student loan, it is vital that we empower all young people to prioritize financial wellness," said EVERFI Co-Founder and President of Financial Education, Ray Martinez.

Since its launch in 2016, the Master Your Card School Program with EVERFI has reached more than 20,000 students in financially underserved communities. The program is currently focused on reaching students in New York City and Greater St. Louis.
