Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig B. Johnson to Honor Five Awardees during ENCLAVE O'Hare's "Luminary Leaders 2018" Ceremony and Celebration

Elk Grove Village, IL Mayor Craig B. Johnson will congratulate and otherwise honor five Luminary Leaders who earned significant awards or noteworthy distinction from major organizations, on a state, regional, and national level of recognition. To extend the educational and motivational value of stories of such exemplary success, on Thursday, December 13, 2018, five luminaries among top educators, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders will come to the stage at ENCLAVE O'Hare to speak, and to be suitably recognized.

In announcing the first-of-its-kind event, John R. Dallas, Jr., CEO of ENCLAVE Foundation for Entrepreneurs, Inc., said, "In alignment with ENCLAVE's mission with entrepreneurs and their influencers - '…to illuminate the personal journey for exceptional performance…' - each honoree will share up to 10 minutes of revealing storytelling. Honorees will explore the experience of achieving recognition. Rarely do winners of awards or other distinction reveal their psychology and emotion related to learning about a specific recognition, and the increased expectations of others and oneself."

On the stage with Mayor Johnson, Elk Grove Village Police Chief Charles G. Walsh, and Mr. Dallas will be David R. Schuler, Ph.D., of Township High School District 214, the Superintendent of the Year for the United States, Paul W. Kelly, the Principal of the Year fr Illinois, from Elk Grove High School, Ricardo (Ricky) Castro, the Teacher of the Year (2017) for Illinois, from Elk Grove High School, Richard J. Mikel, Fire Chief of the Year for Illinois, from Elk Grove Village Fire Department, and Eric R. Broughton, ENCLAVE Entrepreneur of the Year 2018, of Naperville, IL, who recently sold to Expedia (News - Alert) his company, Apartment Jet Inc., for $21.5 million.

From first-hand accounts of complete surprise, deep satisfaction, humility, gratitude, and a greater yearning to do even better, to possible all-too-human bouts with hubris, good-natured revenge, or momentarily unbridled egocentricity, the honorees will share their true stories. With self-effacing humor, some speakers will address their vulnerability in victory.

ENCLAVE co-founders, psychiatrists David E. Morrison, Jr., M.D. and David E. (Daven) Morrison III, M.D., will speak.

For all to see, each honoree will bring for display: medals, ribbons, plaques, citations, certificates, proclamations, letters, or other artifacts given by organizations for specific awards. Honorees will respond to audience questions.

The evening will include a congratulatory message for Mayor Johnson. Soon he'll head off to ESPN's (News - Alert) Makers Wanted™ Bahamas Bowl on December 21; this year featuring Florida International University (FIU) and University of Toledo. Elk Grove Village, IL is the first non-tourist-destination city to be a title sponsor for the college football championship.

Luminary Leaders 2018 honorees will also be inducted into the inaugural Class of 2018 for ENCLAVE's Luminary Leaders League, which will grow as a local-to-global thought leadership collaboration and resource hub.

Comcast (News - Alert) Business and Kelleher & Buckley, LLC, attorneys at law, are two principal sponsors of the evening's festivities.
