AVADO Faces Digital Transformation Head On, Releases Survey Results On Lagging Corporate L&D Programs

About half (45%) of respondents said only C-suite employees / the Board are included in their company's digital transformation plans

NEW YORK, Dec. 4, 2018 /CNW/ -- AVADO, a global edtech company redefining professional learning in the digital age, conducted a survey with Censuswide in order to better understand how companies are utilizing L&D programs to prepare for digital transformation, if at all. Through the survey, which polled more than 1,000 L&D professionals, AVADO discovered that the majority of companies are not preparing themselves adequately, and are at risk of technology outpacing their internal human capabilities.

According to the survey, three of the most prolific roadblocks stopping companies from properly adapting in light of digital transformation include: budget allocation, generational divide, and legacy programming of L&D initiatives. Most interestingly, 25% of respondents aged 55+ said that digital transformation isn't that important/important at all to their company vs. 4% of respondents aged 25-34. With the average C-Suite executive skewing older, it is understandable why many companies have not prioritized L&D programs for digital transformation purposes. Additionally, about half (45%) of respondents said only C-suite employees/the Board are included in their company's digital transformation. This not only excludes L&D leaders, but also HR and input from every level.

"It's no secret that many companies are already extremely late in preparation for onging digital transformation," said Niall McKinney, Global President of AVADO. "If L&D programs are implemented swiftly and supported by C-suite executives, they can effectively upscale workforces and decrease job loss due to outdated skills and inability to grow alongside technology."

Fortunately for companies behind the curve, digital transformation can be addressed quickly by bringing top-quality learning tools to the attention of key decisionmakers who can jumpstart the change. AVADO works with more than 3,000 companies globally, including Estee Lauder, GSK and Merck, to encourage tech adoption with a key human element necessary in essentially all sectors. AVADO delivers learning that works at scale, illustrated by recent global programs which achieved pass rates of over 80% and engagement rates topping 99%.

Combined with adaptive learning, AVADO ensures audiences remain engaged and involved throughout the process, bringing the education component to life. AVADO has a course completion rate of 82%, while the average industry standard is a mere 22%.

While it is clear that L&D programs need to be pushed to the top of corporate priority lists, such change has come from the ground up. By tackling digital transformation as a unit, companies are one step closer to preventing crisis caused by the impending fourth major Industrial Revolution.
