Makeblock Founder and CEO Jasen Wang invited to attend 2018 Global HR Forum

SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jasen Wang, Founder and CEO of Makeblock, was invited to attend and speak at the 13th annual Global HR Forum. The forum was co-founded by the Korean Economic Daily, the Korean Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) in 2006. Themed "Future Makers: Challengers Create Tomorrow", this year's forum brought together more than 5,000 industry leaders and professionals from around the world to hold in-depth discussions on a variety of topics including innovation on campuses, creative learning, innovation in the management of human capital and innovation in career development.

As the rapid development of technology is accelerating the transformation of human society, new technologies including artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of things have become mainstream. The transformation of the education process has become a top priority in this digital revolution, and how to cultivate and lead the next generation has become a question that everyone has to think about. Jasen Wang said at the forum, "The difference between STEAM and traditional education is that STEAM integrates technology with education and brings technology to life through a combination of software and hardware, inspiring children to develop teamwork, logical thinking and practical capacities in an environment of multi-disciplinary knowledge learning."

Jasen said, "We need a powerful platform capable of providing the mechanics, the electronics and the software simultaneously to minimize the innovation threshold and give children more space in which they can be innovative." Makeblock, a leading international STEAM education solution provider, has successfully set up an ecosystem of sustainable STEAM education. Its software and hardware products have been included in the curriculums at 25,000 schools across over 140 countries. With more than 6 million users, the ecosystem provides not only entry-level STEAM education suites, but also advanced robotics suites and supporting teaching materials. The 2018 session of the Make X Robotics Challenge, an international robotics competition platform that engages students at different ages in challenges involving robotics, has attracted more than 3,000 teams from over 30 countries and regions around the world. The final competition will be held in Guangzhou, China at the end of this year.

Makeblock boasts the industry's most comprehensive product line

Jasen concluded by saying that South Korea is one of most robotically advanced countries worldwide, having built a solid foundation for further development of the science. The South Korean government, which has embraced STEAM education, also announced the inclusion of programming into junior high school curriculums and accompanying teaching materials this year. Makeblock, available through several online and offline retail channels in South Korea, has collaborated with RAPA and dozens of colleges offering courses in programming. In addition to having been covered multiple times by the South Korean television network KBS N, Makeblock has established the first Makeblock experience center and K-coding programming school in the country.
