ManTech Executive Chairman George J. Pedersen Inducted into GovCon "Hall of Fame"

HERNDON, Va., Nov. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ManTech (Nasdaq: MANT) today announced that George J. Pedersen, Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board of ManTech, has been inducted to the GovCon “Hall of Fame.” The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Services Council, the hosts of the Greater Washington Government Contractors Awards, presented the honor at their annual Awards Dinner the evening of November 5.

“It is fitting that George Pedersen should receive this great honor as ManTech celebrates our 50th year,” said Kevin M. Phillips, President and CEO of ManTech. “As a pioneer and visionary he has guided our company’s success for five decades, and served as a powerful force in shaping the government services contracting industry of today.”

Mr. Pedersen’s career is a classic case study in entrepreneurial success, building ManTech from a startup with a single U.S. Navy contract into a $1.9 billion enterprise with some 8,000 employees serving Defense, Intelligence Community and Federal Civilian agencies.

“At ManTech, George Pedersen built a culture dedicated to putting our nation first,” said Phillips. “For his many lifetime achievements, he has earned his place in the GovConHall of Fame.”
