Topcon Healthcare Solutions Announces Clearance of Topcon Harmony

Topcon Healthcare Solutions announces the release and clearance of Topcon Harmony, a class II medical diagnostic software. Topcon Harmony is a replacement of Synergy (News - Alert) with a completely redesigned browser-based user interface that includes new features and vendor neutral connectivity.

One of the first things users will notice is the clean, standards-based user interface. According to John Trefethen, Vice President, Marketing & Product Design, "The team used the material design standards to simplify the user interface and build upon the common GUI elements most users already know and use every day." Material is an adaptable system of guidelines, components, and tools that support the best practices of user interface design that can be found at https://material.io/.

Topcon will be showcasing Harmony at the AAO Annual Meeting held in Chicago where the top ophthalmologists gather to see what is newin the field of eye care.

For those not attending AAO or for those that just can't wait, Topcon is hosting a webinar series to provide a sneak peek into what the new software is all about. To learn more, visit their product page and request a demonstration at https://topconhealth.com/harmony.

About Topcon

Based in Oakland, NJ, Topcon is a comprehensive ophthalmic device manufacturer within the worldwide ophthalmic community. It introduced the world's first commercial back-of-the-eye spectral domain (SD) and swept source (SS) optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems, which have driven innovation in eye-care.

More recently, Topcon Healthcare Solutions started to enhance not only its hardware but also its software solutions. To become the leader in diagnostic software, Topcon has developed a new strategic division whose primary objective is to create world-class software solutions for the eye-care industry and beyond. The company's products enable the collection and visualization of a wide range of imaging and clinical data while providing quantitative and clinical analysis capabilities.

Topcon's software gives clinicians access to patient exam data captured from OCTs, Visual Fields, Fundus cameras, and other Topcon and third-party devices. Topcon leverages its image management software called Harmony, where practitioners gain access to DICOM and non-DICOM information stored in a central, cloud-based environment. Additionally, Topcon now provides an integrated service that connects practitioners to an extensive network of reading services to assist in the management of sight-threatening eye diseases.
